Scissors Sharpening

Free USPS return shipping on orders of $100.00 or more. Insurance if requested at additional charge.

Your scissors will be inspected upon receipt for any damage which may have occurred from previously bad sharpening, dropped scissors or just normal wear. Then they will be cleaned, disinfected and sharpened to like new or in most cases better than new condition. All parts such as washers, bumpers will be replaced as necessary free of charge. Missing or stripped threads on finger tangs can be replaced upon request @ a minimal charge. Scissors that are meant to have convex edges for slide, slither or scoop cutting and have been beveled by an inexperienced sharpener can be returned to their factory convex edge. Prices for this repair vary depending on amount of damage that has been done to the scissors. Refer to price list below. See illustration below on difference between convex and bevel edges. Scissors will then be carefully packed and returned to you within 24 hours of receipt of scissors in our shop.

If scissors are in need of any extra repairs besides normal sharpening , you will be contacted before any work begins.
